The Knowledge of His dominion
In desperate circumstances, our faith is tested. How do we know what state it is in at the moment? But it is in moments of upheaval that we once again get to know ourselves. Sometimes we even surprise ourselves. Either in a voice that trembled with fear, or with an incredible, amazing calm.
Faith is, above all, the art of self-control. The ability to either cope with uncertainty or become its inevitable victim. The model of our behavior is determined by its state. And the state of faith, like the weather in Latvia, can change even during the day.
Faith tends to feed on information. Faith comes by hearing... Now, that's the key word - the power of our faith. What we feed it with, what information is in our ears and in front of our eyes. Depending on the informational power of our faith, its state depends.
"Blessed is the man whom you admonish, o Lord, and instruct with Your law, To give him rest in the days of trouble, until the pit is dug for the wicked!
For the Lord will not forsake his people, nor forsake his inheritance" (PS. 93: 12-14).
It is not God's will that we should be held hostage to the rampant propaganda of global hysteria. Oh, how God wants to one day become the most important and reliable source of information for us. To instruct and guide us with his truth, feeding our faith with healthy and high-calorie food. Such faith will help us deal with uncertainty. This belief guarantees us high standards of self-control in force majeure circumstances.
The days of trouble are not for us to suffer.
These are the days of trouble in order to know the glory of the Lord and remain in his peace.
For if He said that he would not forsake his people and leave us, then it will be so.
So let the Holy Spirit both instruct us and guide us in this difficult time.
